The 2018 Women of Achievement Awards was an enchanting evening filled with tears, laughter, inspiration and above all else, unparalleled achievement. What began with cocktails and networking, ended with encouraging speeches, powerful stories, awards, dinner and delectable desserts. The main event was held in the sparkling grand ballroom at the InterContinental Hotel, nestled in the heart of Century City.
Our keynote speaker, Heather Carter from The Riveter, gave an inspirational speech on empowering women, and also spoke about Women in the Workplace.
We celebrated our incredible women of achievement for their wonderful and unwavering contributions to the community as well as their non-profit work. Honorees included Melissa Held, Pattie Gilbert, Jessica Gordon, Tammie McQuain, Zohreh Mizrahi, Dianne Shorté and Wendy Spinner. Non-profits that were present included Team Rubicon, Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, Fulfillment Fund, Emergency Fund, Rotary Club, Know Better To Do Better and Urban Fitness 911.
In addition, 2018 was the first year to have vendors at the event, which included Chula Chic, Leobella Couture, African Safari & Boisset Collection.
Over two-hundred guests joined us for an unforgettable evening of dinner, raffle prizes, a silent auction and most of all, a happy celebration of these amazing women! A big thank you to the Century City Women’s Business Council and our sponsors: Century Park, Thompson Coburn, Constellation Place, Held Properties, Milbank, Cox Castle Nicholson, Watt Plaza for making this event such a tremendous success!
